Busy Week

So yeah, we now have a Sam's Club membership.  If you asked me when we got married, I would've told you that we'd never have one.  I feel like such a mom.  But with Lila eating so much now (mostly snacking) and with another one on the way, we feel like it makes sense and will save us money.  We went in planning on paying for just the $40 basic membership, but ended up paying for the $100 premium membership because they gave us a $25 gift card on the spot, we'll get lots of coupons throughout the year, and discounts at their pharmacy and optical.  And, if we're not satisfied with it, we can get our extra $60 back before we renew our membership next year.  It was fun shopping around and buying lots of the foods that we love and eat.  I think I'll like the place a lot more once I can eat like a normal person again :)

Lila's cute when we go shopping.  Trails behind us, stopping every few feet because she's distracted by whatever is in the aisle.  She prefers doing that than sitting in the cart now, usually.

The rest of the week was busy getting ready for the Halloween Party.  We went grocery shopping with Emily when she was here on Thursday.

Yesterday I spent the morning cooking/baking (and getting short of breath just standing at my kitchen counter making cupcakes--pregnancy!), and Lila was pretty good at entertaining herself and being happy.  But after lunch, she had a meltdown, and she wanted to go "in neh" (she'll say "i want to go in neh!" which maybe means "in there," which apparently means downstairs, which she usually pronounces "down dare") and rock in the rocking chair and watch the birdie show.  So we did that and then she finally took a nap.  Kate and George arrived not long after she woke up to help set up for the party.  It was helpful to have her around, and Lila took a liking to her, finally.  She said, "Holdy Kake!" a lot, and she liked playing with George... especially when he would laugh at her.

  1. We have both Sam's and Costco but pay for neither! :) Tyler's Dad & my Dad have them. We find that we spend way too much money when we go there...on things we wouldn't regularly buy. So we go there for certain things: good-looking fruit, frozen edamame, and their little deli place. :)
